Scott Schneider is a partner in the Real Estate, Commercial Leasing, and Hospitality and Restaurant Services Groups. His practice focuses on representation of commercial landlords and tenants in office, retail and restaurant leasing, as well as industrial and warehouse leasing.

Landlords come to Scott for assistance in developing and implementing Class-A office leasing programs and related asset management functions, such as drafting and negotiating consents, brokerage agreements, construction contracts and service agreements.

Scott assists enterprise tenants in executing their national leasing programs, and middle market firms, entrepreneurs and professionals in individual leases, subleases and license agreements.

Scott represents real estate entrepreneurs, investors and developers in other commercial real estate and related corporate matters, including acquisitions and sales, and construction and financing. He prepares and negotiates organizational documents for corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies, and has experience representing lenders in connection with financings and purchases of co-lending interests.

Scott was recognized as a "Rising Star" in Super Lawyers in 2017-2018, and a "Rising Star" at the Georgetown Law Advanced Commercial Leasing Institute in 2015.

Scott’s representative matters include advising:

  • Columbia Property Trust, a publicly traded REIT, in connection with the expansion of Snap Inc.’s New York City offices at 229 West 43rd Street
  • Union Square Hospitality Group in connection with its leasing of restaurant space at Capitol Crossing in Washington D.C. for Union Square Cafe, one of New York City’s most iconic restaurants, representing its first expansion outside of New York City
  • Columbia Property Trust in connection with a 30+ year net lease of a 25-story, 390,000 square foot midtown Manhattan office building to New York University for conversion into a hospital, a transaction that was nominated for REBNY’s 2016 Leasing Brokers Most Ingenious Deal of the Year award
  • CBIZ, Inc., a publicly traded professional services company, in connection with a 50,000+ square foot New York City office lease
  • An international real estate investment fund landlord in connection with its office and retail leasing program at three prominent Class-A office buildings in Manhattan
  • One of the country’s largest insurance services companies in connection with its nationwide leasing program
  • A German banking institution in connection with its acquisition of a significant co-lending interest in loans in excess of $100 million and $275 million
  • An Italian manufacturer of luxury furniture and interior design products in connection with its Los Angeles retail showroom lease
  • A Financial Times Global 500 company in connection with its build-to-suit Park Avenue headquarters lease
  • One of the country’s largest manufacturers of footwear in connection with its New York City office and showroom lease
  • An internationally-renown, London-based art gallery in connection with its lease of a build-to-suit gallery building under the High Line in Manhattan
  • One of New York’s largest parking garage operators in connection with a series of sale-leaseback transactions netting in excess of $250 million in sales proceeds
  • A G8 government in connection with its New York City consulate lease
  • A major New York City property owner/operator in connection with its leasing of over 300,000 square feet of Class-A office space in Manhattan
