Aaron Abraham co-chairs the Construction Practice Group at Tarter Krinsky & Drogin LLP. He represents developers and corporate and institutional owners throughout the United States, concentrating on negotiating and drafting a full range of development and construction agreements, as well as resolving and litigating complex construction and design-related disputes.
Mr. Abraham’s representation of clients includes structuring major construction projects and counseling on complex development, joint venture, fee, budget, design, indemnification, insurance, surety and dispute resolution issues. He also counsels on due diligence and lender requirements, and distressed projects and completion workout disputes.
In addition, Mr. Abraham is an experienced litigator, representing clients in state and federal courts as well as alternative dispute resolution forums. His cases have involved claims related to design errors and omissions, structural failures and collapse, mold and water infiltration, insurance coverage disputes, surety bond claims, lien claims, limitation of liability issues, and delay, acceleration and consequential damages claims.
Chambers and Partners has recognized Mr. Abraham as a leading construction lawyer in New York for five consecutive years (2006-10), and he was named a top attorney in the New York City area for 2009 by the publishers of Super Lawyers.
Prior to joining TKD, Mr. Abraham was a Partner in the New York office of Arent Fox LLP. He was previously a Partner in a New York boutique construction law firm and an Assistant District Attorney in Queens County, New York.
