Debra Bodian Bernstein - Counsel
Debra Bodian Bernstein is Counsel at Tarter Krinsky & Drogin LLP. She joined the firm in 2002, having practiced in the area of commercial litigation since 1990. She has handled a wide array of complex business disputes and other matters from inception through trial and appeal, including partnership disputes, insurance coverage disputes, mortgage fraud litigation, title insurance claims and other real property matters, attorney malpractice, trademark and copyright infringement, libel and employment discrimination litigation. Prior to joining Tarter Krinsky & Drogin LLP, Ms. Bernstein was associated with boutique New York law firms specializing in litigation and began her legal career as a litigation associate in the New York office of Winston & Strawn.
Ms. Bernstein received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a B.S. in Business Management from the State University of New York at Binghamton. She is a member of the New York State and New York City Bar Associations and is admitted to practice in the state courts of New York and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
Ms. Bernstein has moderated various programs and actively served on several committees of the New York City Bar Association, including, most recently, the Real Property Law Committee. She has published articles in the New York Law Journal and has participated in the City Bar Association’s Monday Night LAW program, providing legal advice to the community.
Ms. Bernstein serves as the Executive Vice President and Secretary of Congregation Habonim, a historic synagogue in Manhattan.
