Laurent S. Drogin - Partner
Laurent S. Drogin became a Partner when the firm was formed in 2001. He heads the firm’s labor and employment practice group with special focus in the field of labor and employment law and related litigation. Mr. Drogin serves a diverse client base in various industries on a broad range of workplace matters including litigation avoidance techniques, litigation/dispute resolution, restrictive covenants, employment agreements, severance matters and counseling on compliance with Federal, State and Local employment laws, including harassment, discrimination, medical leave and wage and hour matters.
He also represents employers in traditional labor law matters such as union organizing campaigns and elections, collective bargaining negotiations, discipline and discharge issues, grievance arbitrations, delinquent and unpaid benefit fund contribution matters, and proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board and New York State Employment Relations Board. His extensive labor law experience includes the representation of many real estate owners. managing agents and co-op boards in the New York Metropolitan area involving unions such as SEIU Local 32BJ; Local 713 I.B.O.T.U. (formerly Local 187 F.B.E.U.); UFCW Local 348-S; and Local 670 R.W.D.S.U., among others. Representative clients also include those in the manufacturing, trucking, logistics, moving and storage, construction, apparel and engineering industries.
Many decisions on cases he has been involved in have been published and he has lectured on labor and employment law topics. Prior to joining the firm, he was a partner in the Manhattan law firm of Drogin & Drogin.
Mr. Drogin is admitted to practice in the State Courts of New York and New Jersey, and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second, Third and Seventh Circuits, as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey.

He has argued appeals, tried cases, and conducted hearings, arbitrations and mediations in multiple courts, administrative agencies and dispute resolution venues such as the American Arbitration Association and JAMS.
He earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1990 from the Hofstra University School of Law, where he was a Notes and Comments Editor of the Hofstra Law Review and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science in 1986 from the State University of New York at Binghamton. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association (Labor and Employment Law committee) and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
An avid wine collector, fan of thoroughbred horse racing and the New York Yankees, he brings a practical, detail and goal-oriented approach to helping clients avoid and solve their legal problems.
