Melissa B. Morales is an Associate in the Corporate and Securities Practice Group at Tarter Krinsky & Drogin LLP. Her practice focuses on the representation of public and private companies, as well as securities and general corporate matters. She has experience in a variety of business transactions, including reverse mergers and stock and asset purchases in a variety of industries, including technology and life sciences.
Ms. Morales is experienced in representing issuers in connection with public and private offerings of debt and equity securities and advising clients regarding disclosure requirements under federal and state securities laws. Her practice also includes the representation of acquirers and targets in connection with share exchanges, asset acquisitions and strategic investments. In addition, Ms. Morales has experience in other corporate practices, including private equity, municipal financings, corporate governance and general corporate matters; and she counsels clients in all aspects of structuring, documenting, negotiating and closing transactions.
Ms. Morales is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the Hispanic National Bar Association.
Before joining the firm, Ms. Morales was an Associate in capital markets in the New York City office of McGuireWoods LLP. She was previously an Associate in public finance in the New York City office of Nixon Peabody LLP. As a law student, she served as an intern for the Bankruptcy Court of the Southern District of New York.
