Gina M. Piazza is an Associate at Tarter Krinsky & Drogin LLP in the International, Corporate and Securities and Real Estate Practice Groups. She counsels domestic and international companies in a wide variety of general corporate and commercial transactions, including, but not limited to mergers and acquisitions, commercial and residential real estate matters, negotiation of employment agreements, corporate governance and internet law matters. She has experience representing individual clients, as well as large multinational companies, and smaller organizations in a variety of sectors, including fashion, jewelry, luxury goods, furniture, architecture and design, e-commerce and the restaurant industry.
Ms. Piazza's representative transactions include:
- Assisted the U.S. subsidiary of an Italian manufacturer of award-winning designer kitchenware and accessories in negotiating a lease agreement for one of their New York Stores.
- Drafted and negotiated the employment agreement for the CEO of the U.S. subsidiary of an Italian manufacturer of customized cosmetic products and promotional items for hotels.
- Represented an Italian furniture designer and manufacturer of sofas, armchairs and accessories in renegotiating its lease agreement for its flagship store in a prime Manhattan location.
- Assisted an Italian window systems company in drafting a manufacturing agreement regulating the production of aluminum profiles in the U.S.
- Created the sales representation and distribution agreements for the U.S. sales network of an Italian manufacturer of high-end luxury furniture.
- Assisted a top Italian olive oil producer in the organization of its U.S. subsidiary for the distribution of products in the U.S
- Part of a team of lawyers that represented Soros Fund Management and Dune Capital Management in their acquisition of the DreamWorks live-action film library from Viacom Inc.
Before joining Tarter Krinsky & Drogin, Ms. Piazza was an Associate at a boutique international law firm in New York. She was formerly a Real Estate Associate at Duval & Stachenfeld LLP and a Corporate Associate at O’Melveny & Myers LLP.
