Eva M. Young is an Associate in the Construction and Real Estate Practice Groups at Tarter Krinsky & Drogin LLP. Her practice focuses on both complex transactional and litigation matters. She advises real estate developers in the acquisition, financing, construction and leasing of commercial, residential and mixed-use projects nationally and internationally. Transactions include multi-million dollar sales/acquisitions of commercial and residential properties; retail/office leases; sponsor conversions; and new developments.
Past representative construction and real estate matters include:
- Developing form construction and design contracts for use by one of the world’s largest international developers in connection with several large-scale projects in India and China based on AIA industry standards.
- Coordinating a project team responsible for negotiating over 300 contracts and conducting the subsequent closings for several new condominium developments in New York City.
- Establishing real estate holding companies and drafting related corporate and partnership agreements and resolutions.
- Counseling not-for-profit developers to ensure compliance with municipal regulations, Federal and State public housing and benefits programs, and low-income, affordable housing and tax credit projects.
- Advising owners and developers on rights and obligations associated with existing and prospective tenants, including any litigation in connection therewith.
Before joining the firm, Ms. Young was an Associate at the New York law firms of Belkin Burden Wenig & Goldman LLP, Borah Goldstein Altschuler Nahins & Goidel P.C., and Wachtel and Masyr LLP.
