TKD Client Cellceutix Pharma, Inc.
Completes Reverse Merger
TKD client Cellceutix Pharma, Inc. recently acquired control of EconoShare, Inc., a Bulletin Board Company, through a reverse merger. Partner Peter Campitiello represented Cellceutix in the transaction.
EconoShare is now focusing its energies on the development of Cellceutix Pharma’s portfolio of pharmaceutical candidates into marketable drugs. The Boston-based company, which anticipates filing for a name and symbol change in the near future, has rights to six compounds, including Kevetrin, an anti-cancer compound for the treatment of head and neck cancers.
The company’s CEO, George W. Evans, was formerly general counsel of Pfizer Inc.’s worldwide prescription drug unit. Krishna Menon, the chairman and chief science officer, is the inventor of Kevetrin and also invented the anti-cancer drugs Alimta and Gemzar while at Eli Lilly and Company.
