TKD Successfully Represents Client in Wrongful Discharge Lawsuit

TKD attorneys recently obtained dismissal of a lawsuit seeking several hundred thousand dollars in damages against a major IT service provider in New York City. The plaintiff was a computer programming consultant who was terminated after refusing to sign a confidentiality agreement. He sued for wrongful discharge and also for additional compensation above his agreed-to and fully-paid salary, claiming that his job was far more complex than the parties anticipated it would be.

The court found that the consultant, who was an at-will employee, had not been wrongfully discharged. It also found that since he had received the full salary agreed to, he had no basis for seeking any additional compensation. TKD attorneys Ed Finkelstein and Richard Steer represented TKD’s client.
