TKD Client Prevails in Estate Litigation
Tarter Krinsky & Drogin recently resolved a difficult matter involving the house left by our client’s deceased grandmother.
The client sued his brother over title to the house, and TKD tried the case in Supreme Court, Queens County, in 2006. We secured a judgment voiding two deeds from the grandmother to the defendant brother and a trust that were fraudulently obtained.
We obtained an order appointing our client as the administrator of his grandmother’s estate, and we prepared and recorded an administrator’s deed conveying the house to both brothers as tenants in common. The brothers subsequently reconciled and agreed to live together, and placed a mortgage on the house.
Steven Troup, a partner in TKD’s Real Estate Practice Group, represented our client in this matter.
