Tarter Krinsky & Drogin is representing Headlee Management Corp., its subsidiaries and affiliated entities in a restructuring of their finances so that they can emerge from Chapter 11 as viable companies. Headlee, a privately-held corporation, operates 11 quick-serve restaurants in New York, Connecticut, Alabama and Mississippi, and owns two real estate holding companies.
On December 8, 2009, TKD filed 16 related Chapter 11 cases in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Shortly after the Chapter 11 filing, the firm successfully obtained preliminary relief from the Bankruptcy Court permitting the company to continue to operate and use its cash subject to the liens of its senior secured creditor. The company has continued in its efforts to reorganize with the firm’s assistance and guidance.
Partner Scott Markowitz and Associate Ira Abel of the Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring Practice Group are handling this matter for our client.
