Richard L. Steer, a partner in the firm’s Labor and Employment Practice Group who heads our Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI) practice area, recently spoke at a seminar on “Immigration and Employment Issues” sponsored by the Westchester Chapter of the New York Staffing Association. He addressed independent contractor issues, wage and hour compliance, minimum wages, overtime, white collar exemptions from overtime requirements, individual liability, record-keeping requirements, EPLI and employment discrimination issues.
Steer is an adjunct professor at Pace University School of Law, where he teaches courses in employment discrimination law and employment law.
