Joann Palumbo Gives Seminar on Importance of Wills

Counsel Joann T. Palumbo of Tarter Krinsky & Drogin’s Trusts & Estates Practice Group recently gave a seminar on “The Importance of a Will” at St. Vincent Ferrer Church in Manhattan. In the seminar, also sponsored by the Archdiocese of New York, she addressed such issues as:

  • Why you need a will.
  • What happens if you die without a will.
  • Why parents with young children need a will.
  • Ways to save on gift, estate and other death taxes.
  • Health care proxies.
  • Pros and cons of living trusts.
  • Durable powers of attorney.
Ms. Palumbo is a Fellow of the American College of Trust & Estate Counsel and an Adjunct Associate Professor at Fordham University School of Law. She is also a member of the Trusts and Estates Law Section of the New York State Bar Association.
