We advise individuals, families, and fiduciaries in the development, ongoing oversight, and administration of practical estate planning strategies, considering all relevant factors.
In the development of an estate plan, our Trusts and Estates Practice Group takes into account all aspects of the complex federal and state laws and regulations that affect transfers of wealth by working closely with our firm’s Corporate, Real Estate and Tax Practice Groups. In addition to identifying optimal strategies for the protection and disposition of assets, we also counsel clients in proactively addressing special family needs, which may include the establishment of trusts to provide funds for certain family members. For clients who have philanthropic interests, we advise on the ideal framework for charitable giving and endowments.
Our attorneys work with executors, administrators and trustees to navigate and efficiently accomplish all tasks associated with the administration of an estate, from probate or administration proceedings through final accountings and distributions.
Two members of Tarter Krinsky & Drogin’s Trusts and Estates Practice Group have been elected as Fellows of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), a selective association of distinguished estate planners and private client lawyers.
