Jill Makower is counsel in the Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring practice. She represents Chapter 11 and 7 trustees, Chapter 11 debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, shareholders, corporate officers and directors, asset sellers and purchasers and other parties in interest in bankruptcy cases, related proceedings, transactions and appeals.
Jill has over 25 years of experience as a bankruptcy attorney. She prosecutes and defends against all types of bankruptcy court litigation including proceedings for avoidance and recovery of fraudulent conveyances and preferences, asset turnover, breach of fiduciary duty, equitable subordination, claim objections, and lease and executory contract litigation. Jill conducts Bankruptcy Rule 2004 investigations and recovers assets in bankruptcy cases and adversary proceedings.
Prior to joining the firm, Jill was counsel in the Corporate Restructuring, Bankruptcy and Creditors Rights Groups at Spizz Cohen & Serchuk, P.C.
