Victoria Galante serves as a legal advisor to leading corporations and emerging businesses in the U.S. Clients turn to her for day-to-day legal counsel as well as for sophisticated commercial transactions. They depend on her ability to quickly distill and understand complicated legal issues and, effectively and efficiently, present practical solutions to the same.
Victoria is an associate in the firm’s Italy Practice as well as the International, Retail, and Corporate and Securities groups.
Victoria’s practice has a particular focus on Italian companies and their U.S. subsidiaries interested in doing business or expanding their operations in the U.S. Drawing on her previous experience as in-house counsel for a leading Italian brand and her familiarity with the Italian language and culture, Victoria easily grasps her Italian (and other international) clients’ unique needs and is able to seamlessly integrate with clients’ in-house legal and business teams to provide practical legal advice to help achieve their goals.
Often acting as outside general counsel, Victoria assists both established and start-up businesses on a broad range of matters from agreements pertaining to common commercial transactions to corporate governance to joint ventures and corporate acquisitions, as well as commercial leasing for office and retail space. Victoria’s experience working closely with some of the world’s leading brands gives her a unique and invaluable outlook on both the legal and reputational issues that such brands face.
Victoria represents both domestic and international clientele within the U.S. across a variety of industries, including luxury goods, fashion, footwear, lingerie and legwear, beauty and cosmetics, food and beverage, hospitality, furniture and lighting, houseware, jewelry, architecture and design, and e-commerce.
Before joining the firm, Victoria was in-house legal counsel to Gucci America, where she also supported Gucci’s luxury sister brands in the U.S.
