Why did you choose Tarter Krinsky & Drogin?
I was looking for a firm based in NYC that primarily served the middle market and had a wide range of practice areas, with the depth to support my practice. Not only did the firm check all those boxes, it also is a growing, dynamic firm with very positive energy.
What do you enjoy most about what you do?
I enjoy the problem solving that is a big part of my work every day in the office. Working with clients and colleagues to identify and resolve issues is intellectually engaging and is a good way to develop professional relationships. In working on transactional matters, it is satisfying to help clients achieve their goals.
How would you describe working at Tarter Krinsky & Drogin?
At Tarter Krinsky & Drogin, people can feel free to relax and be themselves. There is no need to conform to a particular firm culture or mode of behavior. There is a lot of room for individuality, personal expression
What do you think is the key
As head of the Real Estate practice, I like to set a tone where everyone can be open with each other and relaxed. In our monthly real estate department meetings, we discuss recent legal and market developments, but we also joke around a lot, which I think helps develop cohesion. One key to success is working hard to identify and recruit good attorneys who have the right skills and interests to play an important role in serving our clients. We try to build client service teams for each client with people who do a good job and enjoy working together.
