Representative matters outside of New York include:
- Represented a California-based real estate agency in multifamily portfolio acquisitions, ranging from $60 to $500 million, in Utah, Arizona, Washington, Oregon, Oklahoma, Maryland and California. Services included drafting and reviewing purchase and sale agreements, reviewing and rendering title objections and performing survey reviews, aiding clients in due diligence and zoning analysis and coordinating with lenders on loan documents;
- Represent a national insurance brokerage company in all of its office leasing across the United States, negotiating all forms of lease transactions including new leases, amendments, subleases, assignments in connection with its acquisition of other insurance companies;
- Served as lead Construction Counsel on behalf of a football league and property company, in which the firm was responsible for the drafting and negotiation of numerous letters of intent, early start agreements, and construction and design agreements for the planned development of a project in California consisting of 1.4 million+ square feet of office, retail and restaurant space and over 1,300 units of rental housing;
- Served as lead Construction Counsel responsible for the drafting and negotiation of numerous letters of intent, early start agreements, and construction and design agreements in connection with the planned development of a major national retailer’s new home office campus in Arkansas;
- Drafted and negotiated construction and design agreements for a $40 million+ project to renovate and rehabilitate six nursing homes in Texas devastated by Hurricane Harvey;
- Represented the Owner/Developer in its $230 Million acquisition and financing of and its $130 Million+ renovation of a hotel in Illinois;
- Represented a commercial real estate agency in construction and design agreements for the conversion of office spaces to residential rental units in Kansas and obtained a favorable pre-litigation resolution of a dispute with a defaulting contractor on the project;
- Represented a real estate developer in the development of new groundup mixed-use buildings in Pennsylvania, and helped the client navigate delays and construction interruption resulting from COVID-19;
- Represented a New York-based real estate agency in the development of residential, mixed-use, retail and office buildings in Florida, encompassing contracts for the client with architects, engineers and design consultants as well as the general contractors/construction manager;
- Served as U.S. counsel to a buyer of a Greek marina and resort development; and
- Served as New York counsel to a family trust acquiring a hotel and resort in Puerto Rico, which services included negotiating the purchase agreement, debt and equity financing agreement and the hotel management agreement.
