Federica Rigato is a partner in the Firm’s Italy, International, Retail, and Intellectual Property Practices, and Co-Chair of the Cybersecurity, Data Management & Privacy Practice.

Federica brings more than a decade of experience in privacy and related matters for companies operating in the digital and e-commerce space, helping businesses navigate various requirements at the state and federal level. She assists clients with implementing compliance programs that include adopting appropriate privacy and cybersecurity policies, entering into data processing agreements with third parties, responding to consumer requests, and addressing data breaches.  

Federica also works with the Firm’s Intellectual Property Practice on trademark prosecution and licensing, product labeling, advertising, and related issues.  Federica serves as outside general counsel to domestic and international clients in a wide range of industries, including luxury goods; fashion, beauty, and cosmetics; furniture and design; hospitality; food and beverage; wine and spirits; e-commerce and technology. Her dual American and Italian background and fluency in English and Italian bring a unique perspective to companies developing their operations and brands in the United States.

Federica obtained the Certified Information Privacy Professional certification for the United States and Europe (CIPP/US, CIPP/E). She collaborated with Giuliano Iannaccone and Luigi Perin in connection with their book Stati Uniti d’America: Diritto e Fiscalità d’Impresa (United States of America: Business Law and Taxation), IPSOA/WoltersKluwer, 2019.
