Federica Rigato serves as outside general counsel to domestic and international clients operating in a wide range of industries. Federica’s drive for client satisfaction allows her to gain clients’ trust, which provides deeper insight into how she can strategize to meet their comprehensive legal needs.
Federica is an associate in the firm’s Italy practice as well as the International, Retail, Corporate, Intellectual Property, and Privacy and Cybersecurity practice groups. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US).
With a dual Italian and American background and fluency in English and Italian, Federica offers clients a unique perspective on developing and expanding their business in the United States. Federica’s deep understanding and appreciation for Italian culture and business practices is an asset to clients looking to establish or grow their operations and brand.
She assists domestic and international clients with a range of transactional matters including negotiating a wide array of commercial agreements, assisting with corporate governance matters and corporate transactions. Additionally, Federica advises clients on sensitive privacy and cybersecurity matters relating to e-commerce and other Internet law matters. Federica also works with the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice in connection with trademark clearance, trademark prosecution, licensing, trademark litigation, product labeling and related issues.
She represents clients in various industries including luxury goods, fashion, beauty and cosmetics, furniture, architecture and design, public relations, food and beverage, hospitality, e-commerce, wine and spirits and technology.
She collaborated with Giuliano Iannaccone and Luigi Perin in connection with their book Stati Uniti d'America: Diritto e Fiscalità d'Impresa (United States of America: Business Law and Taxation), IPSOA/WoltersKluwer, 2019.
