Madoff Investment Securities and by the liquidators of the largest Madoff "feeder fund" to recover transfers made to those banks and investment funds for the benefit of their customers.
• Liz represented an international law firm against claims of professional malpractice and fraud, resulting in a voluntarily discontinued lawsuit.
• Liz represented a large national bank as successor trustee related to the alleged improper disbursement of funds during the development of a Las Vegas casino project, and resulting in a favorable settlement benefitting the second mortgage note holders.
• Liz served as counsel to the successor liquidating trustee for two large hedge funds that failed due to the mispricing of their portfolios, resulting in the recovery and distribution of the funds’ assets to limited partners.
• Liz represented an award-winning architectural firm and architect in the defense of a copyright lawsuit brought in New York and other lawsuits around the country.
