The firm represents Tishman Speyer in a mixed-use development project with H&R Real Estate Investment Trust. The project was featured in the Commercial Observer article “H&R REIT Partners with Tishman Speyer in LIC Development.” According to the article, the first phase of the project is constructing a 42-story, 700-unit rental tower. The plot of land can accommodate approximately 1,600 residential units and about 30,000 square feet of retail space. The location of the project is on a site next to 2 Gotham Center in Long Island City. Construction is expected to begin in 2015 and end in 2017. Tishman Speyer is the developer and project manager of the development that is estimated to cost approximately $875 million.
