New York, NY – August 20, 2025 – Tarter Krinsky & Drogin is pleased to announce that Peter E. Sayer has joined the firm as Counsel in its Construction practice. Peter’s arrival marks a key step in the ongoing strategic expansion of the Firm’s nationally recognized Construction Group and reinforces Tarter Krinsky & Drogin’s broader commitment to building strength in core practice areas aligned with client demand.
Sayer advises clients in construction, commercial litigation, distressed real estate, and transactional matters. He assists property owners, developers, contractors, engineers, architects, and other real estate and design professionals in resolving complex disputes from inception to conclusion through negotiation, alternate dispute resolution (arbitration and mediation), and litigation, regularly appearing before state and civil courts throughout New York. Sayer handles property damage, breach of contract claims, commercial landlord-tenant proceedings, mechanic’s liens (filing and foreclosure actions), RPAPL § 881 proceedings, matters involving condominium and cooperative apartments (including nonjudicial foreclosure on cooperative units), and judgment enforcement.
Sayer also advises on the drafting and negotiation of contracts and license agreements critical to construction projects, with a focus on insurance coverage, indemnity, defense obligations, IP rights, and limitations on liability.
“Peter’s addition reflects our continued focus on deepening capabilities in areas where clients need sophisticated, full-service counsel,” said Alan Tarter, Managing Partner of Tarter Krinsky & Drogin. “His vast litigation and transactional experience aligns well with our approach to offering comprehensive legal support at every stage of a matter’s life cycle.”
Sayer joins the Firm’s growing Construction Practice, which added a partner, a counsel, and three associates since 2024, bringing significant experience across construction litigation, transactional matters, and license agreement work, collectively enhancing the practice’s market position and ability to support clients with complex legal needs.
“I am excited to join a firm whose growing, collaborative culture perfectly aligns with my entrepreneurial approach to legal service,” said Sayer. I look forward to working with this exceptional team to help our clients achieve their goals and overcome challenges with effective solutions.”
Sayer earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and is admitted to practice in New York and in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Construction Law Committee; the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) New York; and the European-American Chamber of Commerce, NY Metro Chapter.
Tarter Krinsky & Drogin’s Construction Practice represents owners, developers, contractors, and design professionals in all phases of the construction process, negotiating complex transactions and guiding clients through construction-related disputes.
