Tarter Krinsky & Drogin won dismissals for a Manhattan-based staffing agency in two closely-related lawsuits.  The plaintiff in these cases was a consultant who claimed that he had been wrongfully terminated and had not been fairly compensated for his services.  The dismissed actions sought hundreds of thousands of dollars from our client.

The plaintiff’s first lawsuit in state court was dismissed for failure to state a claim in December 2007.  In early 2009, he initiated a nearly identical lawsuit in federal court that was dismissed because the claims had already been decided in the earlier case.  Both cases were dismissed at an early stage of litigation and were achieved at a moderate cost to our client.

Edward R. Finkelstein, Counsel in the Litigation Practice, led the team that defended these lawsuits.
