Tarter Krinsky & Drogin Partner Richard C. Schoenstein will be inducted into the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University’s inaugural Hall of Fame as part of its 50th anniversary celebration.

According to Hofstra Law, the Hall of Fame honors alumni whose exemplary careers, extraordinary service to society, or outstanding contributions to the University have significantly impacted the Hofstra Law community and beyond.

“I’m honored to be a part of this inaugural Hall of Fame class and be recognized among this very impressive alumni group,” Schoenstein said. “I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Hofstra and the school has always been there for me.  I am delighted that the relationship remains strong.”

Schoenstein’s impact on Hofstra Law has been wide-ranging.  He served on the Board of the Alumni Association for many years, including as President from 2013 to 2017, and as a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board from 2017-2018. Over the years, his work with the school has included hosting events for admitted and current students, speaking at graduation, teaching in the trial advocacy program, and assisting students preparing for interviews.

Schoenstein is vice chair of Tarter Krinsky & Drogin’s Litigation Practice, co-chair of the Securities and Financial Services Litigation Group, and a member of the Firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee. He represents a wide range of clients in trials and appeals, arbitration and mediation, and internal and external investigations. Additionally, he hosts the Firm’s podcast, Law Brief® and appears as a commentator on Dan Abrams’ Law & Crime Network discussing various trials and legal issues.

Recently, Judge Gail Prudenti, Dean of the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, joined Schoenstein on an episode of Law Brief® to discuss the Law School’s fifty year history and plans for the future.
