On March 11, 2021, Governor Cuomo announced that domestic travelers will no longer be required to quarantine after entering New York State from another U.S. State or U.S Territory starting April 1, 2021 (unless they have been exposed to COVID-19).

Mandatory quarantine stays in effect for international travelers entering New York State.

Additionally, employees, returning to New York State from international travel, remain ineligible for COVID-19 quarantine leave if:

• they are subject to a quarantine because they voluntarily traveled to a country with a level two or three health notice from the Centers for Disease Control, and
• if such travel was not at the direction of their employer, and
• the employee was advised of the travel health notice and knew about this restriction.
