Jill Makower is counsel in the Firm’s Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring Practice. Practicing  over 25 years as a bankruptcy attorney, Jill has broad experience handling all aspects of bankruptcy and restructuring cases.

Jill regularly acts as lead counsel to Chapter 11 and 7 trustees, and frequently represents Chapter 11 debtors, secured and unsecured creditors,  asset sellers and purchasers, and other parties in interest in bankruptcy proceedings, appeals, and restructuring transactions.

As a litigator, Jill prosecutes and defends against all types of bankruptcy court litigation including proceedings for avoidance and recovery of fraudulent conveyances and preferences, asset turnover, breach of fiduciary duty, equitable subordination, claim objections, and lease and executory contract litigation. Additionally, Jill conducts Bankruptcy Rule 2004 investigations and recovers assets in bankruptcy cases and adversary proceedings.
