Scott Markowitz, Partner and Bankruptcy Group Co-chair was quoted in the Undercurrent News article, “US Wholesaler Baldor Outbids Others to Secure Assets of Bankrupt Pierless Fish.” Scott represents Pierless Fish in a Chapter 11 proceeding pending in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York.
Pierless Fish has roots going back nearly 30 years in the seafood wholesale industry, and has been a leading provider of fresh seafood to the top restaurants in New York City and across the United States. Unfortunately, due to the current climate Pierless Fish was unable to sustain its business and ultimately sold its assets to Baldor Specialty Foods through a Chapter 11 sale process.
