Construction chair David Pfeffer was featured in a Commercial Observer article that highlighted its 2nd Annual Higher Education Construction Forum, a half-day conference on the future of higher education development in the New York Metropolitan region. David moderated the panel, "Managing Higher Education’s Capital Programs, Development and Large Scale Renovations," where he and his fellow panelists discussed that many decision makers in New York City's higher education space consider working with unions on large-scale development projects as the preference over open-shop contractors for various reasons, such as enabling the educational institutions to maintain good business practices and attractive prices due to project labor agreements with unions.
