Construction Chair David Pfeffer was quoted in the Real Estate BISNOW article “Atlantic Yard’s Best- and Worst-Case Scenarios.” Forest City Ratner and Skanska are in court over construction of the first residential building at Pacific Park (formerly Atlantic Yards). The building is expected to consist of 363 modular units. The modular units are made in the Brooklyn Navy Yards factory. David explained that disputes can significantly delay a project. Forest City expressed interest in taking over the Brooklyn Navy Yards factory from Skanska. David also noted that experts usually do not recommend going solo for such a large project.
