Construction Group chair David Pfeffer was quoted in Real Estate Law360’s feature article, Real Estate Cases to Watch in the 2nd Half of 2018. In the article, David weighed in on the implications of the $76 million judgment against construction contractor Navillus Tile for its improper use of non-union labor. Navillus was accused of creating a bogus "double breasted” business to avoid paying union wages and benefits. The article noted that this approach has increasingly been used by contractors to pay workers less money than their unionized counterparts. David predicts that, "You’re going to see more of these double-breasting cases brought by the unions against the operators.” Read more.
