Mark Rosenberg was Quoted About Online Reviews in The Real Estate Business Institute Magazine

Co-chair of the Reputation Management Practice Mark Rosenberg was quoted in “What’s New When It Comes to Tracking Online Reviews?” published by The Real Estate Business Institute magazine. The article detailed what businesses need to know about online reviews. In the article, Mark explained that “Online reviews can often make or break a business’s reputation,” and that “It’s essential that you track reviews of your business.” Mark also addressed self reviews and stated “In addition to violating nearly every review site’s terms of use, self-created reviews can form the basis of a false advertising or unfair business practice claim brought by state attorneys general or the FTC.” Mark also explained what to do if your business gets a negative review. He noted to first try to engage the reviewer to resolve the issue and stated “If a poor review is the result of a misunderstanding, speaking with the client may lead to a resolution of the underlying issue and the removal of the offending review.” He also addressed the tone and content of cease-and-desists letters.
