Philip Y. Braginsky is a partner in the Firm’s Intellectual Property Practice and co-chair of the Life Sciences and China and India Practices.
Philip focuses on intellectual property counseling, litigation, patent, and trademark procurement for clients in the life sciences, consumer products, fashion, and tech. A trusted advisor to academics and companies, Phil assists clients in the creation of technology platforms and business ventures. He is known for creating innovative intellectual property asset strategies for many public and private companies.
Philip often acts as outside general counsel for U.S. and Chinese companies entering and operating in the U.S.. He has been appointed an expert on intellectual property for the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), Working Group VI (Securities Interests).
Phil founded and served as President/General Counsel of Flow Science, Inc., a technology transfer company, and he co-founded and acts as director of the DD Venture Fund, which supports early stage life science companies by providing capital and advise. He is a frequent speaker and author on intellectual property issues and trends. He sits on the boards of for-profit and not-for-profit ventures, including serving as an Executive Board member of the Lymphatic Education and Research Network for over 15 years.
