Tarter Krinsky & Drogin’s Business and Corporate Immigration Practice nimbly works with corporate and individual clients on their business immigration needs, adapting quickly to government changes of policy. We maintain a select caseload to remain focused on our client matters, giving the utmost attention to our client base. Our group handles cases holistically, working with corporate head office staff, human resources or legal departments, and outside corporate advisors to accomplish our client’s U.S.-bound immigration goals.
Our team handles both immigrant and non-immigrant matters on behalf of a wide range of clients. We partner with U.S. multinational corporations, mid-sized firms, small companies, and individuals, utilizing best practices to achieve their goals in hiring foreign nationals to fulfill their business needs. Our services include:
Nonimmigrant Visa Options: We guide and advise our corporate clients in selecting the best options for them by considering the optimal nonimmigrant visa process given both their needs and the qualifications of the foreign national. We plan and guide for both short-term and long-term options, including the H-1B1, H-1B, L, E1, E2, and E3 visa options, the O1 extraordinary alien visa, R1 religious worker, Q, and J-1 trainee, and intern visas.
Immigrant Visa Options: We coordinate and plan immigrant visa processing, including all employment-based immigrant visa categories encompassing the EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, EB-4, immigrant religious workers, and EB-5 elements of permanent residence sponsorship. On behalf of our corporate clients, we file for aliens of extraordinary ability, intracompany transferees with plans for permanent U.S. assignments, national interest waiver cases, labor certifications through the PERM process, religious immigrant workers, and entrepreneurial investors.
Visa Uses Explained: We routinely advise our clients on the use of the B-1 visa for business visits to the United States. In addition, we work with clients who are contemplating business investments in advance of preparing and filing E1 or E2 investor visa applications to ensure they are well prepared for consular interviews, helping to facilitate their plan to build a U.S. business.
Communication with U.S. Department of State: We provide our clients with assistance in processing nonimmigrant and immigrant visa applications for both employment-based and family-based applicants.
Family-Based Immigration: We routinely represent individuals filing for family-based benefits for immediate relatives and others utilizing the adjustment of status or consular processes overseen by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and the U.S. Department of State. We also file for benefits for U.S. citizenship for our clients domestically and through consular posts abroad.
I-9 Practice: We guide U.S. employers in developing I-9 practices and reviews, coordinating with in-house counsel and human resource personnel to guide and develop best practices for I-9 compliance in an ever-changing legal environment.
Communication with the U.S. Department of State: We provide our corporate and individual clients with assistance in consular processing of immigrant and nonimmigrant visa applications globally in the employment-based and family-based context.
Our services also include preparing and filing relevant applications for adjustment of status, advance parole, and employment authorization requests. We work closely with our Firm’s wide range of clients across sectors to ensure their business immigration needs are fulfilled.
