Glynn has joined as a Partner in the Firm’s Trusts & Estates Practice in New York, bringing extensive experience in estate planning and wealth preservation solutions for high-net-worth families and business owners. She will be instrumental in helping clients safeguard their legacies and achieve their long-term estate planning goals.
With a wealth of experience, Glynn has advised corporate and individual executors and trustees in the administration and settlement of complex estates and trusts from the initial probate phase through estate tax proceedings and judicial accountings. Glynn has in-depth experience guiding high-net-worth clients through multigenerational wealth planning, utilizing a wide range of trusts to optimize each client’s legacy in a tax-efficient manner. Her experience includes drafting and implementing lifetime and testamentary CLTs and CRTs, dynasty trusts, IDGTs, as well as SLATs, DPTs, QDOTs. Carolyn has also served clients over the years with a myriad of gift tax-leveraging techniques, such as GRATs, ILITs, QPRTs, SLATs, charitable entities, and private foundations.

Glynn advises clients with regard to income tax issues related to retirement planning, business succession planning, estate tax, gift tax, and generation-skipping transfer tax proceedings. She has represented fiduciaries before the IRS with respect to estate tax audits and the application for IRS private letter rulings. Prior to joining Tarter Krinsky & Drogin, Glynn was a partner at Davidson, Dawson & Clark, where she represented clients with respect to their estate planning, in addition to assisting fiduciaries through all phases of trust and estate settlement.

Glynn graduated from Brooklyn Law School and is an active member of multiple professional associations, including the Estate Planning Council of New York City, Inc. and the Palm Beach County Estate Planning Council. She serves on the Professional Advisory Panel of The Met and periodically lectures before bar associations and other professional organizations on issues related to the tax consequences of wealth transfer.
