NEW YORK – October 24, 2022 – In continuing with the Firm’s strategic growth, Tarter Krinsky & Drogin’s Sean T. Scuderi has been elevated to Vice Chair of the Construction Practice. Scuderi will expand his responsibilities in this new role to focus on departmental delivery of client service, practice management, strategic planning, communications, staffing, and overall practice group performance.

Scuderi, named a Law360 Construction Rising Star this year, represents owners, developers, non-profit entities, schools, architects, engineers, general contractors, and construction managers through every phase of the design and construction process, from negotiating construction agreements to handling complex disputes.

“The development of both our people and our Firm has always been at the forefront of what we do, and Sean’s elevation demonstrates this commitment,” said Managing Partner Alan M. Tarter. “Since he joined the Firm as an associate, Sean has always led with innovative solutions, hard work, and dedication to serve his clients and our Firm better. We are thrilled to elevate Sean into this new position and look forward to watching the next chapter of his career evolve.”

“I am honored to step into this new role and continue to help grow our esteemed construction practice,” Scuderi said. “Throughout my career, I have always made it a point to establish new goals in order to push boundaries and reach new heights – for both my clients and myself. I am excited at the opportunity to further evolve our practice and bring our client service to an even higher level.”

Scuderi’s noteworthy experience includes representing a client in a precedent-setting decision in New York State related to mechanic’s liens and pre-construction services. He has also created a niche role in the New York construction industry in relation to neighboring construction and adjacent access, becoming a leader in maneuvering negotiations to allow his clients’ projects to move forward efficiently. Additionally, he serves as general counsel to his clients and provides a strategic and holistic approach to all their construction, development, and real estate needs.

“A longtime rising star on our team, Sean has had a considerable impact not only on our practice and client service but the construction industry overall. He has built a name for himself in the industry, carving out a niche role and driving change within the areas of development and construction,”  said David J. Pfeffer, chair of the Construction Practice. “I am confident that Sean will continue to be an integral member of our team’s growth, and we are excited to see him bring his innovative, collaborative approach to this new leadership role.”

Nationally ranked in Chambers USA, the Firm’s Construction Practice serves as a partner to educational institutions, healthcare institutions, and non-profit organizations.
