Partner and Chair of the German Practice Juergen Ostertag recently co-authored the article, "An End to Non-Competition Clauses in Employment Contracts? The U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Proposal to Ban Non-Competition Clauses" for The German American Lawyers Association. The article discusses the FTC's proposed rule prohibiting non-compete clauses in employment contracts in order to regulate the use of non-competition provisions on a nationwide basis. The article also provides an overview of the implications for companies, and considerations companies should assess in light of the proposed changes.
