Jane B. Jacobs is a partner in Firm’s Labor & Employment Practice, dividing her time between employment litigation and traditional labor law.

As a litigator, Jane defends a wide variety of employment cases, including:

• Employment discrimination and harassment
• Wage and hour cases, both individual and class claims
• ERISA claims
• Enforcement of non-compete and confidentiality agreements and other provisions typically arising out of employment agreements.

These cases range from single plaintiff to class actions, from arbitration to agency proceedings, to state and federal court litigation. Jane recognizes that the first phases of a case can set the tone for the entire proceeding and she uses strategic pacing and flow to advance her clients’ cases. Her legal strategies are reinforced by a genuine interest in her clients’ business operations.

Jane also represents clients in a variety of traditional labor law matters, including:

• Collective bargaining
• Unfair labor practices charges
• Arbitration
• Union organizing
• National Labor Relations Board and other agency proceedings.

Jane has taught seminars on labor law and the Americans with Disabilities Act and has provided harassment training.
