Press Release

NEW YORK (April 22, 2025) – Tarter Krinsky & Drogin LLP announced today that it has launched a new Art Law practice with the arrival of Leila A. Amineddoleh as Partner in New York. Amineddoleh handles both complex litigation and transactional matters related to the art market, as well as matters involving cultural heritage and intellectual property law. The Art Law practice bolsters the Firm’s existing intellectual property, litigation, and international services, further strengthening Tarter Krinsky & Drogin’s offering in the market.
With nearly two decades of experience, Amineddoleh serves as lead counsel and advisor for major art collectors, museums, galleries, dealers, non-profits, artists, estates, foundations, and foreign governments in matters involving the sale of multi-million-dollar artwork, ownership disputes, and the recovery of stolen art and antiquities. Her work also includes transactional matters, as well as all aspects of due diligence, including authentication procedures, cultural heritage compliance, and title verification. Drawing on specialized expertise in the luxury, collectibles, and fashion industries, including counseling clients on intellectual property portfolios, Amineddoleh helps protect and enhance the value of goods, representing inventors, start-ups, small businesses, and large companies.
“Leila brings a wealth of knowledge in all cultural heritage and intellectual property matters that are critical to the practice of Art Law,” said Tarter Krinsky & Drogin Managing Partner Alan Tarter. “I am excited to welcome a leading authority in this space to the team as we expand our global capabilities advising clients in all aspects of art law including, litigation, transactions, and IP matters.”
“Leila's profound and deep understanding of both domestic and international law along with her extensive focus in the international and luxury goods space will be vital to our practice as we expand into art law,” said Giuliano Iannaccone, Chair of Tarter Krinsky & Drogin’s International and Retail practices. “As we continue to strategically grow our International Practice, her ability to navigate high-profile disputes and transactions while helping international artists and companies protect and maximize their creative endeavors and assets makes her an invaluable resource to our existing and future clients.”
Prior to joining Tarter Krinsky & Drogin, she founded Amineddoleh and Associates LLC, a boutique law firm specializing in art, cultural heritage, and intellectual property law. Leila is a proud advocate for the protection of cultural heritage, having served as lead litigation counsel to foreign governments, consultant to the U.S. Attorney's Office, and a cultural heritage law expert for the New York District Attorney’s Office Antiquities Trafficking Unit.
“I look forward to collaborating with Tarter Krinsky & Drogin’s incredible attorneys to continue supporting clients in the art and cultural heritage spaces,” said Amineddoleh. “With the firm’s full-service platform, I’m excited to continue working in the rich area of art law, but now with broader resources, talented colleagues, and a more robust suite of services.”
Amineddoleh graduated from Boston College Law School and is a member of the Art Law Committee of the Bar Association of the City of New York. She currently serves as the Chair Emeritus of the Art Law Institute for the New York County Lawyer’s Association. Amineddoleh is also the Vice Chair of the Board of the Experiential Orchestra (EXO).
