Tarter Krinsky & Drogin represented Iona College, a co-educational institutionof higher education chartered by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York based in New Rochelle, NY, in connection with a Charge of Discrimination filed with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). The Charge was filed by a current employee who alleged employment discrimination in violation of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA). At the conclusion of the investigation, the EEOC dismissed the Charge, as there was no probable cause to believe that Iona College had engaged in any unlawful discriminatory practice in violation of the ADEA.
Anthony Dougherty, a partner in the Not-for-Profit Practice, and Tara Toevs, an associate in the Labor and Employment Practice, handled this matter.
