Intellectual Property

Equipped with technical degrees, our Intellectual Property attorneys are passionate about driving innovation and new technology. We regularly collaborate with research institutes, universities, and other academic institutions located in the United States and around the world for the support and protection of academic research. We advise these organizations in numerous ways, including in the licensing of their technology to private industry and regarding their interests before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and patent offices worldwide as well as on strategies for maximizing the value of their research.

We understand the complexities created by having various stakeholders and the need to address compliance issues. Working together with our clients, we keep the intellectual property portfolio aligned with the multifaceted goals of each institution. The numerous universities and research institutions we represent are among the most active researchers, patent filers, and licensors globally. We work closely with the administration in the technology transfer office, and innovators at the institutions to achieve exceptional academic and research centers recognition.
