Tarter Krinsky & Drogin Partner Steven Troup recently won favorable decisions in court hearings for two condominium clients.
On behalf of a DUMBO condominium board of managers, Steve obtained a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction requiring the removal of a wall unlawfully constructed in a common area by a commercial unit owner, and also blocking any actions by the commercial unit owner to take over other spaces used by residential unit owners in the building.
In another case involving a high-rise condominium on the Upper West Side, Steve obtained a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction requiring a recalcitrant unit owner to provide access to the owner’s terrace so that the condo can perform façade maintenance in order to comply with Local Law 11. The judge granted the requested relief from the bench on the day of the initial hearing.
