Steven Troup has been appointed by the New York City Bar Association to the Cooperative and Condominium Law Committee. The Committee addresses issues pertaining to cooperative and condominium housing law in a myriad of areas, including governance issues, relevant litigation updates, changes in the lending policies and working with Fannie Mae and lenders to address those issues, recent legislation in the New York State Legislature and in the New York City Council, discrimination in coops and condos, reasonable accommodations and issues between boards and apartment owners.
Steven, who chairs the Cooperative and Condominium Practice, counsels over 45 cooperatives and condominiums in shareholder and general litigation, construction defects litigation, contracts for capital projects, commercial leases, mortgage financing, sponsor defaults, governance issues and regulatory issues.
