Amy ensures that her clients meet and comply with all requirements set forth under global and local privacy laws, such as the EU’s and UK’s General Data Protection Regulation, New York’s Stop Hacks and Improve Electronic Data Security Act (SHIELD Act), and California’s Consumer Privacy Act and Privacy Rights Act (CCPA). Amy designs commercially responsive privacy policies, terms of use, end-user licenses, AI Acceptable Use policies, and software-as-a-service agreements. She counsels clients on artificial intelligence, privacy and cybersecurity issues. Amy advises clients regarding establishing websites that comply with the California Invasion of Privacy Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act and assist in the defense of such claims. She also assists clients in responding to vulnerability assessments via programs of the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).

Amy’s recent accomplishments include:

• Advising the Hartz Mountain Corporation, one of the world’s largest pet products companies, on its privacy policies and terms of use.
• Drafting software-as-a-service (SaaS) and master service agreements on behalf of a consulting company in the tax industry.
• Designing privacy and cybersecurity policies on behalf of an education nonprofit, working closely with its information technology experts.
• Guiding a mechanical and electrical engineering consulting firm’s general counsel with Cybersecurity, Data Management & Privacy law compliance.
• Working with a financial services company after a data breach.
