On October 9, Intellectual Property Co-Chair Amy Goldsmith was interviewed by Andigo on companies’ cybersecurity policies and practices. In the interview titled, "Website Privacy Policies and Practices – A Legal Perspective," Amy explores privacy policies and data security concerns for small businesses. She discusses what procedures to avoid, which cybersecurity concerns affect businesses, and the different privacy laws and legal implications that may affect a business. She also provides recommendations and resources for small businesses' privacy compliance.

Amy notes, "The policies that a business uses should be matched with the actions that the business has actually taken or will take. A policy may say "we have implemented this security protocol," but if the business hasn't done so, this representation isn't accurate." She explains the risk of small businesses when acquiring cybersecurity procedures from online sources, namely, that the businesses’ actions moving forward are not accurately reflected in someone else’s policy.

Andigo is a full-service digital marketing agency located in New York City.
