Tarter Krinsky & Drogin represented the landlord of The Factory in Long Island City, Queens, in the leasing of office space to Macy’s. The department store signed a 15-year lease for a 150,000-square-foot full floor in the building, which was also its former furniture warehouse. The Factory is a 10-story, 1-million square foot creative office loft property. Macy’s was an original tenant when the property was built in 1926. Macy’s will use the new space to photograph its merchandise. The deal is one of the biggest leases to be signed in Long Island City this year.
