Tarter Krinsky & Drogin’s established International Group continues its strategic expansion with the launch of its French and Canada Practices. As part of this growth, the Firm welcomes Emily Ayoob as a partner and Caitlin Delaney as an associate to lead these efforts.

These two new global focuses come on the heels of the team’s creation of a Turkey Practice, joining the International Group’s already established Italy, Germany, and China & India  Practices. The International Practice, well-known for its sophisticated work in establishing global businesses in the U.S., harnesses their language fluencies and cultural proficiencies to guide global clients through the life cycle of a cross-border transaction.

“Since we started the International Group, our trajectory was always geared towards international expansion and tapping into other areas of the globe for our clients. We’ve seen a great need to serve French and Canadian businesses who are looking to expand in the U.S., and now our team is well-equipped to serve these clients,” said Chair of the International and Retail Practices and Co-Chair of the Italy Practice Giuliano Iannaccone. “Paired with our Firm’s full-service platform and our aptitude for multicultural transactions, our team is perfectly positioned to advise inbound businesses on their goals. I’m thrilled to welcome Emily and Caitlin and add their expertise to our expanded global offerings.”

With Ayoob and Delaney, the Firm has added eleven new attorneys to date in 2023, including seven new partners across an array of practice areas. In its 22nd year, the Firm is undergoing tremendous growth with its recent expansions in Los Angeles and Long Island.

“Our Firm is in the midst of a truly transformational moment in our history with the rapid growth of new attorneys, practice areas, and offices. It’s been a remarkable period of evolution and I’m incredibly proud of how our team has been able to diversify and establish ourselves as leaders in the market,” said Managing Partner Alan M. Tarter. “The International Group has always been at the forefront of the industry and now with our French and Canada Practices, we can better serve our international clients. We are driven to succeed and meet any challenge our clients face, and this strategic growth is a testament to that core belief.”

Chair of the newly launched French Practice, Ayoob leverages her French and English fluencies to accompany clients in their domestic and cross-border transactions. She often serves as general counsel to her international clients and handles issues that arise as they acquire, establish, or expand their businesses in the U.S., including the intricacies of mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, business formations, contract drafting and negotiation, trademark prosecution and enforcement, and commercial real estate.

Delaney represents French-speaking startups, middle market companies, and global brands on a wide range of issues. She has a particular familiarity with Canadian, and more particularly Quebec-based companies seeking to establish or expand their footprint in the U.S., and she advises clients on a full range of corporate matters, business agreements, and the protection of their intellectual property assets.

“I have always had strong personal and professional connections with France which has led to a natural synergy between the services I offer and the French business community. It’s important to me to create trusted relationships with my clients and help counsel them through the complex nature of their endeavors, as well as navigate the cultural differences between legal systems,” Ayoob said. “With Tarter Krinsky & Drogin’s expansive global offerings and multidisciplinary platform, Caitlin and I can now better serve and grow with our clients. We’re excited to support our clients on a greater scale and look forward to working alongside the members of the International Group.”
