Partners Mark Aloia and Arthur Zagorsky to Lead Real Estate and Leasing Practices; Tanya Duprey named Chief Administrative Officer; Lisette Clark named Chief HR and People Officer
NEW YORK (January 21, 2025) – Tarter Krinsky & Drogin LLP is pleased to announce that, effective immediately, partner Mark Aloia has been named Chair of the Real Estate practice and partner Arthur Zagorsky has been appointed Chair of the Leasing practice. The firm also announced the promotions of Tanya Duprey to Chief Administrative Officer and Lisette Clark to Chief Human Resources and People Officer. Both Duprey and Clark serve on the firm’s senior management team.
Aloia represents clients in a variety of sophisticated commercial real estate transactions throughout the country. He counsels owners, partners, developers, contractors, and lenders on leasing, acquiring, developing, and financing mixed-use and multi-family projects, office buildings, shopping centers, schools, and cultural institutions. In addition, Aloia represents companies and institutions in managing and expanding their national lease footprint. Prior to joining Tarter Krinsky in 2021, Aloia served for nearly two decades as Business Unit General Counsel at Aegon USA Realty Advisors, LLC, the real estate asset manager of the global insurance company Aegon/Transamerica, overseeing the legal aspects of a large institutional portfolio and advising on the launch of various investment strategies.
Zagorsky, who joined Tarter Krinsky & Drogin in 2002, has over 25 years of experience advising on complex commercial leasing, and corporate and other real estate transactions. He works across the firm with Tarter Krinsky & Drogin’s Corporate, International, Litigation, and Employment Practices, guiding clients through all aspects of leasing and other transactions. Zagorsky represents commercial landlords and tenants in office, retail, and restaurant leasing, as well as industrial and warehouse leasing. He counsels enterprise tenants in executing their national leasing programs. Additionally, he represents professionals, entrepreneurs, and middle-market firms in individual leases, subleases, and license agreements. In addition to advising on commercial leasing, Zagorsky has vast experience handling both large and small transactions ranging from business acquisitions, sales and purchases of office to mixed-use buildings.
Aloia and Zagorsky succeed partner William Weisner, who is stepping down from his leadership role as chair of the Real Estate practice after 10 years but will remain an active partner in the firm.
“We are grateful to Bill for his many years of exemplary leadership as head of the Real Estate practice. His unwavering commitment has set a standard of excellence that will guide us for years to come,” said Managing Partner Alan Tarter. “At the same time, I am thrilled to name Mark and Arthur as the new chairs of the Real Estate and Leasing practices. With their combined talent, vision and energy, I am confident they will continue to drive the teams’ success and strategic growth.”
Duprey has been with Tarter Krinsky & Drogin since its inception in 2001, most recently serving as Director of Administration. She leads office operations, information technology, policy development and implementation, conflicts, and risk management. Duprey has played a pivotal role in the firm’s growth, particularly the expansion of its New York, Garden City, Princeton and Century City, CA, offices, resulting in a 35-percent increase in footprint since 2023. She also leads the firm’s signature Go Out and Learn (GOAL) program, providing development opportunities for lawyers and staff. Duprey is active in the legal industry and has been recognized among Crain’s Notable Hispanic Leaders and Executives.
Clark joined Tarter Krinsky & Drogin in 2017 as Director of Human Resources, overseeing all aspects of benefits administration, performance management and compliance. She also has a central role in talent acquisition and retention, oversees the firm’s mentorship and summer intern programs, and champions the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Committee. Before joining Tarter Krinsky & Drogin, Clark spent more than a decade in the legal profession, specializing in human resources. She holds several certifications in the field.
“Tanya and Lisette’s dedication, leadership, and hard work have been critical to our firm’s growth and ongoing success,” Tarter said. “These two extraordinary individuals have unparalleled expertise in their respective fields. They share a commitment to strengthening our culture of collaboration, excellence, and community while empowering our entire firm to deliver exceptional service to our clients. As they step into their new roles in the C-suite, their exceptional leadership will take our firm to even greater heights.”
